Why are so many skincare products filled with ingredients we can’t even pronounce?

As a family focused on natural living and raising our children with intention, we started paying closer attention to everything we brought into our home — especially what we put on our skin every day. The deeper we looked into modern skincare, the more we realized many lotions and creams were packed with synthetic fillers, preservatives, and chemicals that didn’t align with the way we wanted to live.

That search led us back to something surprisingly simple — beef tallow.

For generations, before modern cosmetics took over store shelves, people relied on tallow as a deeply nourishing moisturizer. It turns out there’s a reason for that. The natural composition of properly rendered beef tallow closely resembles the oils found in human skin, making it incredibly effective at moisturizing, protecting, and restoring the skin barrier.

What started as a small kitchen experiment quickly became something more.

After learning how to properly render and purify tallow, we began crafting small batches of whipped face creams and body butters using only simple, recognizable ingredients — purified beef tallow, coconut oil, beeswax, and carefully selected essential oils.

Friends and family started asking for jars. Then their friends did too.

Before long, Beefy Bliss Tallow Co. was born — a small family business built on the belief that skincare should be simple, honest, and rooted in time-tested ingredients.
